Recapfy

Recapfy turns YouTube videos into written recaps with key points, timestamps and takeaways, in more than 95 languages, plus a chat that answers questions about the video. You connect your YouTube account and pick videos to summarise, or turn on automated recaps so new videos from your favourite channels land in your inbox. It's live in beta.

I designed and built the whole platform on my own: the .NET and PostgreSQL backend, the web app, authentication, subscriptions and billing with Stripe, and the AWS infrastructure, managed as code and deployed automatically from GitHub.

Recapfy also sells its capabilities to AI agents. A pay-per-call API lets agents fetch transcripts and ask questions about a video, settled in USDC, and the companion MCP server brings those tools into any MCP client.
