Recapfy

AI platform that turns YouTube videos into summaries you can chat with — connect a channel and every new video arrives already summarised.

Overview

Recapfy turns YouTube videos into written summaries and lets you ask questions about them instead of watching. Subscribers connect the channels they follow and every new video arrives already summarised, with a chat that answers questions from the transcript.

I designed and built the whole platform: the backend on .NET and PostgreSQL, the mobile and web app from a single React Native codebase, authentication, subscriptions and billing, and the AWS infrastructure managed with Terraform. Deployments run automatically from GitHub.

Recapfy also sells its capabilities to AI agents. A paid API lets agents fetch transcripts and ask questions about a video, settled per call in USDC on Solana, and the companion MCP server makes those tools available from Claude, Cursor and Cline.
